By multiplying the average annual energy consumption by the price you pay per unit of electricity you can roughly calculate how much it will cost to run for a year. If you are trying to determine if an expensive but more efficient appliance will work out to be a savvy buy in the long run you should consider that the average lifespan of a fridge freezer is just less than nine years.
Value for money - Just because a unit costs more does not mean it is of better quality. If you want to be sure you are buying a reliable appliance then you have to read reviews on it.
